Quick answer
For about the same money, Saleshandy Pro ($76 a month billed yearly, $99 monthly) bundles 100,000 emails, 30,000 active prospects and 4,000 lead finder credits against a database of 852M+ contacts. Smartlead Pro ($78 yearly, $94 monthly) gives you 90,000 emails, CRM sync, API access and a built-in deliverability test, but its own lead database, SmartProspect, costs an extra $59 a month on top. If lead data matters to you, Saleshandy includes more of it in the base price. If CRM sync, dedicated infrastructure or a branded agency workspace matter more, Smartlead's extras are built for that. Checked on both pricing pages on 19 October 2026.
Where they actually differ
Both tools do the same core job: connect your mailboxes, warm them up, send a sequence, rotate across inboxes so no single address carries the whole load. I run cold email and LinkedIn as one motion for B2B clients, 2000+ meetings booked for them so far, and when two sending tools land within five dollars of each other, the sticker price stops being the decision. What is bundled in, and what gets billed separately once you are already set up, is what actually moves the monthly cost.
The real split shows up in three places:
- Lead data. Saleshandy folds a contact database and lead finder credits into every plan. Smartlead's equivalent, SmartProspect, is a separate $59 a month line item.
- Infrastructure depth. Smartlead sells dedicated IP servers, paid inbox placement testing and API access. Saleshandy doesn't have an equivalent dedicated-infrastructure product.
- Users included. Saleshandy's Pro plan includes 10 users for $76 to $99 a month. Smartlead counts seats differently and adds client branding as a paid extra from Pro onward.
Prices, plan against plan
Both vendors publish full pricing. These are the plans that compete on volume, from Saleshandy's pricing page and Smartlead's pricing page, checked 19 October 2026:
| Saleshandy Starter | Smartlead Base | Saleshandy Pro | Smartlead Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly billing | $41 | $39 | $99 | $94 |
| Billed yearly, per month | $34 | $32 | $76 | $78 |
| Emails a month | 6,000 | 6,000 | 100,000 | 90,000 |
| Active prospects or contacts | 2,000 | 2,000 stored | 30,000 | 30,000 stored |
| Users | 1 | 1 | 10 | Unlimited |
| Lead finder or verified emails included | 1,500 a month | 2,000 verified | 4,000 a month | 30,000 verified |
| Email accounts | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| API and webhooks | Not on this tier | Not on this tier | Yes | Not on this tier |
Saleshandy also sells a Scale plan at $149 a month yearly ($189 monthly) with 200,000 emails, unlimited active prospects and unlimited users. Smartlead's next step up, Unlimited Smart, is $144 yearly ($174 monthly) for 150,000 emails and unlimited contacts, with CRM sync, API and webhooks included. Past that sits Smartlead's Unlimited Prime at $315 yearly ($379 monthly), which bundles three client workspaces and a dedicated manager, and Saleshandy's Enterprise tier, priced by quote, which adds SSO and white-label.
What "unlimited email accounts" doesn't mean
Both vendors list unlimited email accounts on every plan, and neither charges per mailbox. That is not the same as unlimited sending. The email-a-month cap on each plan is the real ceiling, and it is shared across however many mailboxes you connect. I run outbound at 20 to 30 emails per mailbox a day for clients, after 3 to 4 weeks of warmup, since pushing past that range on a fresh domain is what gets a sender flagged, not the tool's own limit. At that pace, Saleshandy Pro's 100,000 emails a month need roughly 150 to 230 mailboxes sending on 22 working days. Smartlead Pro's 90,000 need about 135 to 205. Neither plan's mailbox count changes that math, so size the plan to your actual send volume, not to how many inboxes you happen to own.
Where I stand. Neither of these is the stack I run for clients: that's Salesforge, alongside Mailforge, Infraforge and Warmforge, and I've written guest articles for Salesforge's blog. No tool in this article pays me, there's no affiliate link, and the comparison below is between Saleshandy and Smartlead on their own terms.
The lead database question
This is the clearest split between the two. Saleshandy's own page claims access to 852M+ contacts and 42M+ companies, checked across multiple data providers through what it calls waterfall enrichment, and the lead finder credits to pull from it, 1,500 to 8,000 a month, are included in every plan's price.
Smartlead's equivalent is SmartProspect, a separate product the company describes on its own blog as tapping into over 300 million verified business profiles. It is not included in the base plan price: that same page states SmartProspect runs on "a flat $59/month maintenance fee" on top of whatever plan you are on. So a Smartlead Pro user who wants built-in lead search is really paying $94 plus $59, or about $153 a month before any plan upgrade, against Saleshandy Pro's $99 with lead credits already in the price.
If you already buy contact data elsewhere, Apollo, Clay, or a dedicated provider, this difference matters less, since you are paying for enrichment once either way and just routing the result into whichever sending tool you pick.
LinkedIn and WhatsApp: a manual task on both
Both vendors market multichannel sequences that include LinkedIn and, in Saleshandy's case, WhatsApp. Read the fine print before you plan a sequence around it. Saleshandy's own documentation is direct about this: its standard LinkedIn steps, connection request, message, InMail, profile view, and post interaction, "are not automated; you must perform them manually." The same page describes WhatsApp and calling steps as manual tasks too. The one actually automated LinkedIn option is a separate "LinkedIn Automation" step that, per Saleshandy's own setup guide, pushes prospects into a campaign you have already built in a third-party tool, either Aimfox or HeyReach, both of which need their own paid account.
Smartlead has the identical dependency. It added LinkedIn through the same two partners, Aimfox and HeyReach, connected with an API key, so the actual LinkedIn sending happens on an account you pay for separately from Smartlead itself. Neither platform runs LinkedIn natively inside the tool you are already paying for. If LinkedIn is a real channel for you and not just a few manual tasks a rep clicks through by hand, budget for HeyReach or Aimfox on top of whichever of these two you pick, and compare automated options directly in my roundup of LinkedIn automation tools ranked by safety.
Deliverability and warmup
Both include warmup at no extra charge, and both scale the daily warmup volume to the plan you are on rather than giving every tier the same ceiling. Past warmup, the two diverge:
| Saleshandy | Smartlead | |
|---|---|---|
| Warmup | Unlimited, daily volume tied to plan | Included, warmup pool scales with plan |
| Inbox placement testing | Not a separate product | SmartDelivery, from $49 a month |
| Dedicated IP infrastructure | Not offered | SmartServers, $39 per server a month |
| Data refresh and verification | Built into lead finder credits | Separate add-on packs from $32 |
If placement testing and dedicated sending infrastructure matter to your setup, Smartlead has a named product for each. Saleshandy leaves that ground to your mailbox provider. Either way, the biggest deliverability factor is still domain setup, not the tool: separate sending domains, correct SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and a slow ramp on volume. My cold email deliverability guide walks through that setup regardless of which sending tool you land on.
Running client accounts
Saleshandy's per-plan user counts, 1 on Starter, 10 on Pro, unlimited on Scale, cover internal teams well but have no client-branding layer below Enterprise, where white-label is bundled with SSO and quoted by request. Smartlead prices branding directly: a white-labelled client workspace costs $29 a month from the Pro plan up, and Unlimited Prime includes three workspaces in its $379 monthly price. For an agency that needs to hand a client their own branded login, Smartlead's model is easier to price per client from day one. For a single team working multiple accounts without needing to show clients a separate dashboard, Saleshandy's unlimited users on Scale costs less.
AI features
Saleshandy includes AI-powered sequence generation and sits its email writing inside the same lead-to-send workflow as its database, so a lead found through the lead finder can move into a drafted sequence without leaving the tool. Smartlead's built-in assistant, SmartAssistant, builds campaigns, writes sequences and flags why a campaign isn't sending, and its sub-sequence logic can route a lead into a different follow-up flow based on how they replied, a keyword in the reply, or a bounce. Neither claims a measurable reply-rate lift from AI writing on its own pricing or product pages, so treat both as drafting and workflow aids, not a reason to choose one tool over the other on their AI features alone.
What it costs at your own volume
Here is a model you can swap your own numbers into. Assume a team sending 50,000 emails a month, wanting built-in lead data, and billing yearly:
- Saleshandy: Pro covers 100,000 emails already, so 50,000 fits inside the $76 a month price with 4,000 lead finder credits included. No add-on needed.
- Smartlead: Pro covers 90,000 emails at $78 a month, plus SmartProspect's flat $59 a month to get built-in lead search, for $137 a month total.
That is a roughly $61 a month gap in this specific scenario, assumption-dependent on wanting the built-in database rather than an outside data source. Drop the lead-data requirement and buy data elsewhere, and the two tools land close to where their headline prices already show them: a few dollars apart. Run your own volume and feature list through both pricing pages before you commit, since a 10,000-email difference in your actual send volume can tip which plan you need on either side.
Which one I'd pick, and when
Pick Saleshandy if
- You want a contact database and lead finder credits included in the plan price, not billed separately.
- Your team is small to mid-sized and you want several seats, 10 on Pro, without per-user pricing.
- You don't need dedicated IP infrastructure or paid inbox placement testing from the sending tool itself.
Pick Smartlead if
- You run an agency and want a branded client login priced per client from day one.
- You want CRM sync, API access, dedicated servers, or placement testing from the same vendor.
- You already have a lead data source and don't need SmartProspect's extra fee.
Where I wouldn't pick either without checking first: if LinkedIn is most of your plan, since both need a separate HeyReach or Aimfox subscription to actually automate it. And if you want email and LinkedIn running as one native sequence without a third tool, that is the one gap neither Saleshandy nor Smartlead closes, which is worth comparing against my Salesforge vs Smartlead piece before you commit to either. If you want a wider shortlist before deciding, I've compared seven more options in Klenty alternatives for cold email.
Key takeaways
- Saleshandy Pro and Smartlead Pro land within five dollars of each other on both monthly and yearly billing.
- Saleshandy bundles a contact database and lead finder credits into every plan. Smartlead's equivalent, SmartProspect, is a separate $59 a month fee.
- Neither tool automates LinkedIn natively: both route it through a paid HeyReach or Aimfox account.
- Smartlead sells dedicated IP infrastructure and paid inbox placement testing as named products. Saleshandy does not offer an equivalent.
- Smartlead prices client branding per workspace from its Pro plan. Saleshandy's white-label sits behind its quoted Enterprise tier.
FAQ
Is Saleshandy cheaper than Smartlead?
Close either way. On monthly billing, Saleshandy's Starter is $41 against Smartlead Base's $39, and Saleshandy Pro is $99 against Smartlead Pro's $94. On yearly billing the gap flips slightly: Saleshandy Pro is $76 a month against Smartlead Pro's $78. Add SmartProspect's $59 a month fee if you want built-in lead data on Smartlead, and Saleshandy comes out cheaper for that use case. Checked 19 October 2026.
Does Smartlead include a lead database?
Yes, called SmartProspect, with over 300 million business profiles per Smartlead's own blog. It is not included in the base plan price: Smartlead's own page states it runs on a flat $59 a month maintenance fee on top of your plan.
Can Saleshandy or Smartlead automate LinkedIn outreach?
Not natively. Saleshandy's own documentation states its standard LinkedIn steps are manual tasks, and its automated option routes through a paid Aimfox or HeyReach account. Smartlead connects to the same two partners for the same reason. Both need a separate subscription to actually automate LinkedIn sending.
Which tool is better for a cold email agency?
Smartlead prices it more simply for agencies: a white-labelled client workspace is $29 a month from the Pro plan, with three included on Unlimited Prime. Saleshandy's white-label sits behind its quoted Enterprise tier, so a team serving several branded clients usually finds Smartlead's model easier to cost out per client.
Do either of these charge per email account or mailbox?
No. Both list unlimited email accounts on every plan. The real limit is the number of emails sent a month on your plan, shared across however many mailboxes you connect, not a per-mailbox fee.
