Who else receives data

  • Hostinger hosts the site on servers in the EU.
  • Google: Analytics, only after you accept. The page fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address. The YouTube cards on the homepage show thumbnails from YouTube and play the video from YouTube when you click. Videos inside articles use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
  • Calendly runs the booking calendar. It loads on the booking page, and on the homepage when you scroll to the booking section or click Book a call. Calendly sets its own cookies when it loads.
  • The "Ask AI" links in the footer open ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google or Grok. Nothing is sent to those services unless you click.

Google and Calendly may process data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long data is kept

Analytics data: 14 months. Bookings and email: as long as the conversation and any work that follows need them, then deleted within 24 months. Server logs: as long as the hosting provider keeps them, normally up to 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, deletion, a restriction or a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. To withdraw analytics consent, clear this site's data in your browser and click Decline when the banner comes back. Write to hlib@storchak.eu and I will answer within a month.

You can also complain to Latvia's data protection authority, Datu valsts inspekcija (dvi.gov.lv), or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
